San Marco Ristorante and Bar

 LOWER GWYNEDD, PENNSYLVANIA

When designing the new bar for a local Italian restaurant, we wanted to embrace the historical aspect of its original schoolhouse frame, while creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. Pealing back the plaster from the masonry to expose the original stone walls of this small space not only gave us more area to work with, but also gave us enough room to provide the correct amount of accessibility for patrons. Wood paneling, brass and copper accents, and jade fabrics created the atmosphere of a small yet elegant pub, setting the tone for entire restaurant.
